Costs and Benefits & Fast Track Residency
The world is in chaos. This is unlikely to change soon. It may be that this turmoil will eventually precede improvements. However, for the present, things feel increasingly muddled.
For those considering potential or eventual relocation to a less turbulent environment, whether to engage in remote work, prepare for retirement, or for whatever motivation, Mexico should be at the top of your list.
Notwithstanding American media to the contrary, living in Mexico, especially Baja Sur, is safer, easier, considerably less expensive, and much more pleasant, than just about any major city north of the border. The quality of life here is simply better in virtually all respects, including medical resources and availability. I have owned an ocean view home in Cabo San Lucas for 22 years and I still do not need to lock my doors.
Baja Charters is an award-winning nautical adventure company providing all-inclusive private yacht charters, and shared tours in the Sea of Cortez. Over the last dozen years, we have helped numerous Americans and Canadians to relocate to Baja Sur. We have never charged anyone for this assistance and have no intention of doing so. However, we have recently put together a minority ownership option in Baja Charters, that can assist in fast-tracking Mexican permanent residency and eventual citizenship without the need to first purchase a house or condo.
Baja Charters is a full-time, licensed tour and charter company with 13 years of continual operation. The business value, including yachts, tour boats, boat yard equipment, parts and supplies, rolling stock, nautical equipment, 118 nautical YouTube videos, 10,000 returning guests and newsletter subscribers, is set at US $2,000,000, net of debt. Ownership units of 1% increments are available for US $20,000, or its equivalent in Pesos, for qualifying applicants. Free tours and charter benefits for minority owners, exceed the cost of investment.
To be a “qualifying applicant” you must be a customer of Baja Charters and consider yourself a knowledgeable and sophisticated investor. This opportunity is NOT available to the public. Benefits of minority ownership far exceed the purchase price.
1 - Fast track to residency and/or citizenship . A certifiable unit of ownership by a non-Mexican person, in a licensed Mexican commercial charter and tour company, provides access to fast-track Mexican permanent residency and eventual citizenship. Baja Charter’s Immigration lawyer, whom we’ve worked with and referred clients to for twenty years, will organize the initial steps for permanent residency for FREE for ownership participants. His further assistance to be contracted directly by those seeking permanent residency, and/or citizenship. AND
2 - Receipt of an ownership certificate. A formal certificate on minority ownership in a regulated, commercially licensed, 13-year-old continuously operated tour and charter company, with its own yachts, tour boats, equipment, AND
3 - Two Free, all inclusive, all day private charters for up to ten guests on any of the company yachts. (Available any time within a ten-year period, upon adequate calendar notice.) The current average value, including tax, is $4,930 per charter times two, or US $9,860. (See www.BajaCat.com) AND
4 - Ten Free, annual prepaid all-inclusive shared tours for two guests. The current average value is $893.20 per couple including tax, calculated at an average inflation rate of 7%, provides a total ten-year value of an additional US $12,940.76. AND
5 - A 15% discount off the published rates of all shared tours and/or private charters for up to as many guests as each yacht can accommodate. This is in addition to the discount provided for driving to the marina, which is another 8% discount.
The total value of the Benefits exceeds the initial investment price and are in addition to the Fast-Track permanent residency and ownership elements.
On a personal level, I have traveled the world, had homes and citizenship in four countries, the US, Canada, Mexico, St Kitts and Nevis, West Indies. I loved Vancouver Island in Canada, loved Colorado, Washington and Oregon, I still love the islands, but not so much California where I was born. Not because it’s not beautiful in many places. But, because of the insane traffic, legislative excess, loss of basic freedoms, crime, taxes and the high cost of living. On balance, Baja Sur is by far the best location for quality of life. The cost of living here is at least 40% less than the U.S., or Canada, assuming you’re not living in a tourist hotel’s complex.
Baja Sur is the Mexican state that constitutes the lower 500 miles of the Baja peninsula, which includes the destination cities of Cabo San Lucas, and San Jose del Cabo, the capital city of La Paz, the magical city of Todos Santos, the fisherman’s paradise of Los Barriles, and others. Baja Sur is surrounded on three sides by large bodies of water including the Sea of Cortez, famously known as the “World’s Aquarium.” This incredible sea is the 2nd most biologically diverse nautical environment on earth. Baja Sur has the highest standard of living of all 32 Mexican states and the lowest crime rate. To Mexican mainlanders, Baja Sur is an island. Their only way to get here is by sea or air. Curiously, Americans and Canadians can drive here more easily than a Mexican mainlander.
