YOU DECIDE.
We are not a cruise ship, nor do we claim to be a luxury yacht, instead we are focused on private nautical adventures with outstanding service.
The Sea of Cortez, includes over 900 islands, providing nesting and stop-over habitat for hundreds of resident and migratory birds. Virtually all the islands in the region are uninhabited. The beaches on these deserted islands are some of the best in the world. This sub-set of the Pacific Ocean is widely considered one of the most biologically diverse marine areas on earth. Come experience this very beautiful and special place with Baja Cat.
The Sea of Cortez, is a breeding ground for sea lions marine turtles, and whales. Nine whale species ply the stunning crystal blue waters that are also home to 22 dolphin, and 5 turtle species. This incredibly beautiful oceanic sea is home to 30% of the world's marine mammals, and 39% of the world's fish species. Some 4,848 species of macro-invertebrates and 626 forms of marco algae are also found here. Come for the adventure. Come for the education. Come to get wet and have a great time. Come on an expedition with Baja Cat.
The Sea of Cortez, also known as the Gulf of California, was dubbed the World's Aquarium, by the famed oceanographer Jacques Cousteau. Snorkeling and scuba diving in these abundant waters are second to none. From underwater caves, to the dark blue of deep water trenches, to the white sand beaches bathed in clear, turquoise water, this region is a divers paradise. Come see remote beaches, and play in the sand and water with Baja Cat.
Typically, guests are picked up directly from the lobby entrance of their hotel or resort, but not always. Depending on a number of factors, guests may be requested to meet ground transport in a central location.
There are nine varieties of whale in the gulf, and twenty-one species of dolphin. There are turtles and a myriad of sea life. This is it. This is the place. Today you might be snorkeling with sea lions and tropical fish, or experience the elusive and rare whale shark, the largest fish in the world. On a full day private charter, during whale shark season, you can do both. It is up to you. Later in the day you could be exploring a deserted beach or snorkeling along a coral reef to watch thousands of colorful fish darting here and there. Or perhaps you would rather just lie out on a deserted beach somewhere around Espiritu Santo Island. There are lots of options, so.
YOU DECIDE. WE PROVIDE.
Some prefer to take a paddle board, or kayak, and move in close to mangrove swamps and stare down into water so crystal clear it hardly seems real. This is an amazing place. There are tropical fish, sea mammals, and beautiful aquatic birds everywhere. These are the places we take our guests. This is why you come. So again: YOU DECIDE. WE PROVIDE.
Top quality food is prepared on board and available throughout the charter period. We host an open bar and there is always a variety of soft drinks, snacks, and beer on hand. A marine biologist frequently serves as hostess and snorkel assistant. Private bathrooms, with freshwater showers, along with laundered towels, soaps, and shampoos are also on hand. An additional dive boat is in attendance to get you up close and personal with sea life, or into that special cove you want to explore. This is what we do. Take you to the places where tropical dreams come true. So, you too can say: It was the experience of a lifetime.
